What shall i upgrade?

Ok you can see my system below, looking to do one of the following...

Sell 9600 GT and get 4850.
Sell e4500 and get e7200
Sell 19 inch monitor and get 19 or 20 inch widescreen.

So which is the best option? And yes, i play games such as COD4, WOW.

Overclock the E4500 and get a 4850.

can;t see that the spec you have should be a problem for cod4/wow , what are you looking to improve with the upgrades ?

i would get the 4850 video card and clock the guts out of the current CPU

Well i play COD on full settings and on overgrown my fps can be 40-50, i am pretty much looking to get a constant 60fps on cod.

How much could i overclock it? If somebody could tell me how difficult it is to do so i will definately consider it.

You will need a decent after market cooler. Some of the guys on this forum are very well qualified to advise on overclocking (im not one of them!)

can't say i've seen many overclocks but i would have thought 2.5 should be possible, nice high mulitplyer iirc so it should help.

not very difficult, check the sticky in the overclocking/cooling forum for a useful guide.

is that 38 idle or 38 under load ?

wouldnt push it past 60 under load to keep it on the safe side.

Prime95 it for at least 10 minutes to find out what temps you get at load as idle temps dont mean much.
Make sure it doesnt go over 70 degree. Also max volts you should put through it is 1.5 but shouldnt need to touch that.
And i expect your temps to reach that on stock cooling.

Overclocking is very easy, I got my 4500 to 2.8Ghz with the stock cooler on stock volts. Anything higher than that I needed to up the voltage.

Read the beginner's guide to overclocking sticky in the overclocking & cooling forum, really good guide. To be honest it isn't very hard at all to do.

Right well just whacked my 9600 GT up on ebay, will go for the 4850. Thanks a lot guys
