been trying to find a cheap netbook or laptop before I head back to Gloucestershire next week, only need it for browsing and emails, music from YouTube if possible, but for under £100 it seems to be a tough market and what’s available near by and I’ve just seen a dell Latitude e6420 for £80, this one has 3gb ram and i5 2430m, but sadly intel graphics,

now from notebook.checker site it sounds like it was a good laptop in its day more so if you had the nvidia nvs graphics, but is the intel one really worth that price or just a typical over pricing seller?

@ExoMale it's an £80 notebook and assuming you can offer on the price so prob achievable for £60-70? You are at that budget where it isn't always quite enough for the better or newer kit but it's high enough to get you something serviceable.

At this budget regardless of brand you want reliable, fully working with OS licence ideally and usable battery life. If you want discrete graphics actually worth having over intel integrated, you need to up your budget or keep looking.

I have seen newer and better spec sub £100 advertised but never been to check them out.

You can buy decent laptops from £350+ new but these still seem to fetch £150-£200 at 2-3 years old.

Thanks for reply.

Yeah I know it an £80 laptop and dell are generally reliable even after many years, but I do think that and some people over price the older tech and don’t really look at the market first, same like someone selling a Samsung P500, it has some sort of celeron and mediocre spec and it’s priced about £15 less than this dell, someone is still selling this Acer E5-551 laptop I enquired about couple months ago, it has an A10 APU, 4gb ram, 500gb hdd running Windows 10, it’s basically half the spec it originally came with, but £100.

I’m not exactly worried about it having a dedicated gpu, it’s more the fact of finding a good spec for a value price, I have seen better laptops for under £60, but either no response or too far to collect or I’ve seen okay netbooks for 20-40 quid, I’m not spending more than £100 unless I replace my pc which isn’t an option really, so I don’t just want to buy any old thing, the fact that dell has an i5 be it 2c/4t, hdmi, dx10(rather dx11); 8gb ddr3 ram support is a plus, it’s the price I question.
