Hi, 2013. Your spec is okay. If you just want a quick boost to gaming, I'd simply drop in a better GPU, and be done with it. For anything else, as stulid asked, please provide more details.

New hardware is on the horizon, so I wouldn't necessarily rush towards a major rebuild just yet.

More GFX power.

Its hard to say change the CPU when its running along at 4.5GHz.

Given the gutter-grade IPC of piledriver chips and the terrible SLI/CFX performance of AMD (AMD always shows off their multi GPU setups running on Intel platforms at trade shows

).... there is actually some compelling reason behind changing up that CPU at some point. Also, No DDR4, no PCIE3, No USB type C no USB 3.1 no M.2, no IRST, runs hotter than an afterburner on an F16, etc etc.

If you are a keen on staying with amd and have a realistic budget then I would wait for a mid-tier polaris card and possibly the zen architecture. dropping in another 8gb of ram would be a nice boost but if you are likely to upgrade then you will be needing to invest in ddr4
