What should I be looking at as an upgrade?

Hello,

I'm toying with the idea of an upgrade to my system. It has lasted me well for around 6 years now. As always I've been out of the game for a few years but recently I've started doing a bit of reading.

I'm, just looking for a few pointers as to where I should be looking to upgrade. Usage would be shared between gaming and general internet browsing. I'll be interested in overclocking again and my system is currently watercooled.

Current spec is:

i7 920
P6T-SE Motherboard
6GB RAM
580 GTX
128GB M4 SSD
650W Corsair

I'm probably looking at replacing the RAM, CPU, MB and GPU eventually.

I've decided on the GPU but I'd appreciate some pointers on the other three main components.

I've been having a look at the following bundle for starters: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-014-AS&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=2858

I got the SSD quite soon after they first came out and it cost a lot for not much storage. This might be something I'd want to upgrade. My Motherboard can't even run it at full speed.

A flexible budget of around £450 for RAM, CPU, MB and maybe a larger SSD.

Just looking for ideas really.

Thanks in advance :)

I would be in some minds to keep your current system and overclock that, you should be able to do 4ghz with a D0 cpu.

Yep, or if you feel its not worth upgrading everything then great. Just looking for ideas :)

The CPU isn't the D0 version. But I can look at overclocking it again.

Agree with the GPU though. It will be a 970 at some point!

Well I've got my CPU to to 4ghz. Just need to check for stability. :)

So the general consensus is that the CPU is still pretty good and all I really need for now is a GPU.
