Hello,

Im currently building a new PC and going to be buying a new graphics card on Tuesday. I have roughly £200 to spend.

Im Not interested in overclocking so need best performance as standard for the money.

What would you recommend ?

This OR this. Great price for the Asus 6870 and about equal in performance to the 470. My personal preference is of course the 470, just for the extra memory, overclocking and the extra's you get with Nvidia cards, if you use them. Get the card that suits your requirements.:D

lol arc u got me tempted now :)

So running 1900 1080 considered very high ?

:)

I'd say your res is the high standard, or usual 'ideal' res these days. With mods and ultra settings in some games there can be more than 1024mb of use. Though if your card is running games well I see no need to prescribe a course of video card therapy. :D Now, if you want to upgrade then I would never try to hold back a fellow gamer! :)

560 is nice value for money, but like arc said, stretch slightly for the 6950, you can get 6970 speeds out if it in a matter of minutes :)

+1 for the 560, a great card. Iirc it eclipses the 470 by a smidgen, but has less memory. What I want to see would be a Gigabyte SOC 560 with over 1gb of vram, that would suit me nicely.

But yeah I'd go for the 6950 2gb, probably the best card in that price bracket :)

Agreed, to my knowlege it beats most in most areas, apart from the 480, but personally the heat/power usage puts me off a smidge (doesn't bother others but that's my personal preference)
