As title really...

I don't know whether to sell it or keep it really...

It does more than enough for me as i'm only a casual gamer that likes grpahics on full when I do play:D

Only problem with it is really is the power it needs... I think it's too much on my 485W Enermax and is causing the PC to not start correctly.

Would people suggest that I sell my current card and get a 3870? I know for a fact I can't afford a 3870x2 and my only other option is to buy a new PSU and keep the 2900XT...

What would other people do?

Cheers, Doug.

It just turns on, fans light & spin up, HDD's spin up etc but it doesn't post at all.

If I leave it on like this for say 20 mins after it's been off all night, switch it off then back on it will post and work flawlessy...

God knows what's up with it.

I can't O/C my 2900XT either. Was just wondering how much people think I would get and if it's worth selling it and getting the 3870 over the 2900 really.

The PSU problem is just that I think... a problem with the PSU:D

Cheers, Doug.

Hello HeX, hehe, indeed, I completely forgot to mention that, sorry. :p Unless the actual power supply is faulty, it should be perfectly capable. :)

Cheers guys!

Basicly I was thinking of getting rid of the 2900xt for a 3870 due to the lower power usage and that I might be able to upgrade.

I have had the PSU for nearly three years so it could be on the way out.

Like someone else said it's like it's 'Charging' something up. Leave it for 20 mins, switch it off and back on and it works fine.

I think I may just keep the 2900 and get a better PSU so I can O/C it... but then would a 3870 O/C further...?

Mobo is a Asus P5B but going to a P5K today:D

Cheers for your help guys, Doug.

Cheers for all your replies.

I think I am going to upgrade my PSU when the funds are avalible although having changed my RAM the PC is no longer needing to 'charge'

I think I can sell my current 2900XT and 485W Enermax for around £130 in around a month or two so a 3870 would only set me back a little. Should I think about this or wait for the next gen cards?

Cheers again, Doug.
