What should i do with this laptop?

Just been given an old averatec laptop, specs are athlon xp2200 mobile, 512mb ram though if i keep it ill be upgrading that obviously and a 60gb hard drive and vga out it also has 802.11g built in aswell.
Now i have no real need for this so i was looking for things to do with it, im not sure what its media playback abilities are but one idea was as a tine media centerwith a small screen attached in a new case with wireless ability. checked the footprint of the moptherboard and its tine, like itx size, i can build a dedicated power supply small enough so just really thinking what your oppinions on this are and if you have any other ideas?

why would you need a new case?

just keep it as it is
attach to tv
and use media centre remote to control it

obviously you'll need external hard drive though, but easier than removing to put in a case

was just thinking of a new case as it would shrink the size of it considerably, How would that sort of spec handle had, as in Hd trailers, mkv files and a bluray drive or am i asking a little too much lol?

get one of them add on touch screen things there not to expensive and make it in to a tablet computer would be a good little progect even if the spec is bad u can use it to run a bigger screen so make it touch screen and build it in to a coffe table with control of a bigger tv
