Erm, I think the 5890 will be released end of this year/start on next year. The performance will top notch, as the 5870 is really fast so jsu thtink aobut 2 of them if the single gpu 5870 has same performance as gtx 295, imagine 2 5870's. They will be released around £450 mark i suspect.

They have already made a proto type etc so soon im guessing. Asuming, the 5890 will be a come back for the new nvidia cards.

If the 280's doing you fine still, then you may as well hang on till Nvidia put something out if you can, so number 3.

I aint really been following the 5870 but could you give me an idea of how fast it is compared to my BFG 280GTX OCX.

Does a X2 card actually give double performances or is it like SLI/Crossfire and give about 50% performances?

Basicly still running on almost beta drivers another month or 2 and most the kinks should get ironed out.
