What Should I Get With 3DMark05

My System.

ASUS P5WDH Deluxe
Intel Duo Core E6600
4GB Corsair PC-6400 DDR RAM
ATI Sapphire X1950XTX.

I got 12,225 does that sound right...

Id say it was low tbh, i get 10000 with my 7900GS and 3800

How much have you tweaked it, From the sound of it everything is running at default in that.
Meanwhile Defcon must have set his driver to low settings for a score like that....
(if not I wanna know how he got 10k on a 7900gs

No it hasn't been overclocked both my CPU and Graphics Card. Mainly because right now the temperature is 49 degrees celcius and im in a game minimized. If you could help me overclock my Graphics card and CPU safely i would appricate it.

Do a search for RivaTuner, thats what they still use as far as im aware.

Which is annoying, I should be beating you here due to have more PixelPipelines....... :confused:

I think iv got the second to latest drivers, not 100% sure though.
What do you mean by driver settings? AA and AF and such are all off
Only using pcie x8 though, not that that will amount to much difference

I just use coolbits to oc the card, (so does pinkfloyd, judging by his memory clock)

Odd, if you've just gone basic settings my card must be underperforming, probs just me having a bloated windows install and older drivers

Yeh that overclock was with coolbits, but Rivatuner is nice too, personally I prefer coolbits as its just a generally smarted looking program since its built into the drivers menu.

Yeah, shame it wont let you push the ram over 800 though, is that there for a reason?

Tbh not even tryed to push the cpu its way too fast for my needs now.

Hmm I get 8976 on a 7950GT and 4200+ x2 (all stock) but I get 82fps in Lost Coast video benchmark (1680x1050 4xFSAA 16xAF, colour correction and max settings with transparency supersampling and gamma correct AA enabled)

3dmarks isn't the be all

Run a game bench!

My cpu was at 3Ghz, which probably compensates for your faster card.

You can use ATI Tool to overclock the gfx card - I used it to oc my x1900xt-x
from stock 650/774 to 735/850
