What should I replace my 2011 Qashqai with?

Unfortunately someone hit our 2011 Qashqai n-tec and (pending a private quote today) it's looking likely that the insurance is writing it off as a no fault Category S

Bought it 8 or so years ago when we had our first child with an intention to keep it til it died but now I'm left in a position where I have some money from it, but not enough to replace like for like

So long story short, I am looking to spend tops £12k, ideally a little less, for a family car - the must have list is small but essential

- ULEZ compliant
- big a boot as possible (ideally SUV rather than estate)
- roof bars (we camp so use the roof)
- cruise control
- parking sensors (ideally all round but rear only would do)

I bought the Qashqai at the time for the longevity and fuel consumption and I'd really like to replace with something similar - we only do around 3000 miles a year so low upkeep essential

Thank you

Perhaps something along the lines of...

I'd have said personally worth leaning towards the Tiguan in that context, though not sure how it stacks up price wise, last time I looked the Tiguan was holding their value a bit too much with some quite old cars still in the ~12K bracket. Karoq/T-Cross probably a bit too small for OP.

if you like the QQ you could always get another I had a 2012 QQ for years. not exiting to drive but it was nice and practical esp with the roof rails and a cheap roof bag.... but Kia do some decent similar cars. my mate had a sportage which was nice for the price.

bottom line it's the most popular style of car in the UK so you have so many options. I doubt the eniro is in that price bracket yet which is a shame
