Conroe is being reported @ multiple temps:

Intel TAT
Coretemp

Both read my Conroe as about 53-59 IDLE.

Speedfan
PC Health Status in Mobo BIOs
Gigabyte Easytune 5

All read my Conroe as around 40-45 degrees

I'm a bit confused on what to trust here, any ideas how I can get to the bottom of it?

As per other thread, re-seat sink and see if that helps.
If the systems stable though, i'd ignore temps and keep pushing. You're not running high volts/speed so you should be ok :)

TAT and Coretemp read it direct from the chip, while the mobo reads a sensor in the socket, so TAT/Coretemp are more accurate.

Ah okay thanks for the help you two, however isn't 54-59 ish a tad bit on the high side? it gets to about 67 max while Orthos is running, should I be alarmed at these temps?

What CPU speed? Considering your "normal" load will never reach orthos levels u should be ok

3107 Mhz, 1.248 Volts and stock HS/F

As Jokester said, could be about right. Maybe a couple of deg lower, re-seat might sort that.
See pic in other thread, and bearing in mind I'm running caseless too :)
