What should I upgrade?

I currently have the following spec PC. I have about £600-900 burning a hole in my wallet, but I don't have to spend all of it. What do you think I should do to update my system?

Ideally I would end up with a second system, but for now I'm thinking of performing an upgrade rather than an entirely new CP.

1.8Ghz E6300 Core 2 Duo (not overclocked or overclockable due to heat problems)
Asus P5B Deluxe (p965 chipset) motherboard
2GB "Geil" 800Mhz RAM CL5
NVidia 7900 GTX OC2 512mb

I was thinking perhaps £250 on a graphics card, maybe get some new RAM, and spend the rest (maybe not all at the same time) on a new mobo and quad-core processor?

What do you think? Or should I go for a new PC entirely (is the 1.8Ghz and P965 mobo holding me back?)

As above. You should be able to manage a decent setup on that budget.

P5Q mobo
Radeon 4870
E8500/E8600 for gaming, Q6600/Q9550 if not.
4gb GeIL Black Dragon RAM

Might need to take a look at your PSU as well, but it might be ok. A decent 550 Corsair would be a good investment too.

Everything depends on how much you're willing to spend ofc :)

I have an aweseme CPU cooler, but a not-so-awesome CPU :(

The PSU is good too - Corsair 650W

You don't think DDR3 is worthwhile? I must admit, I have heard that it isn't worth investing in... Would you say there's not really much worth keeping from my PC's main bits? Obviously I'd rather spend less money but if I'm just going to have huge bottlenecks then I'll replace it all.
