Hey guys, so I did get the Targus Chillmat 17" cooler today for my new notebook and it seems 2 cool the system well with 2 speed settings. Im wondering what temperature is acceptable at most and lower when gaming without damaging the notebook?

Cheers

If its a Intel CPU then usually the max temp is around 105c ~

But personally up-to 80c ~ on the cores.

Yeh its an i5, I use coretemp to monitor that, what about for GPU temp? also im not sure whats the best program for it.

thanks

My system (Sig)

55C CPU Idle
82C CPU Max (Whilst rendering and such)

60C GPU Idle
67C GPU OC-Max (100Hz core OC and 100hz Mem OC)

I use Core Temp for CPU and MSI Afterburner's OSD mode along with HWiNFO64 to monitor temps in game, although by now I know what the temps will be so I don't bother

Thanks so would anything below 70C is fine for GPU? shud I download the beta or normal version of it?

Baring in mind, I don't actually know what system you've got but I'd say anything up to 75C on the GPU should be fine

I'd download the beta version of MSI afterburner
