What single card solution equal to performance of 2 6970's in CF

Hi guys im selling my 2 6970's on MM very soon i wanna go down the single card solution what equal or better in performance in single card solution then 2 6970's in CF.

A single 7970/680 with an mediocre overclock will be equal/slightly faster.

To give you an idea, no CF 6970s but a 6990 instead.

thanks mate what brand is a decent overclocker from green and red team? plus does 16X and pci 3.0 any ingame performance difference between the 2 sockets dont wanna cash in for a new mobo

Stick with the 6970's you'll be paying £100 +for a sidegrade for about 150 watts less electricity unless you can source a 7970 or 680 for £250 or less I guess.

I read that the 7950 was better than the 6970. Surely going that route with a decent over clock would give a performance. Albeit not one that will last that long
