If you're after immersion, I would consider going Ultrawide, that provides by far the most immersion in games. In addition it will give you plenty of real estate (you can get 3 full size windows on a 32" UW) so you'll likely not need your additional monitor. UW also provides a bit of a sweet spot in terms of resolution with 1440; not as taxing as 4k but providing a good pixel density. I suppose if you have plenty of grunt you could use DSR to upscale if you're really wanting to experience a poor mans 4k.

The 2 main things to consider for 4k are

1. Display size you want, 32" is the sweet spot for 4k imo
2. If you're wanting "4k", I presume you are wanting it for the increased sharpness/clarity it brings on smaller screen displays..... so a higher PPI thus a smaller display for 4k will be better but still 32" 4k has a pretty high PPI of 137

And as said, if it is "immersion" you want, you can't beat 21.9/ultra wide screens for this, it is far more immersive than any 16.9 screen.

Dont worry about my rig, that will change. I definitely want to go for 4K over ultrawide 1440p for sure. Dont want to get into reasons why but ultrawide isnt for me. I've tried it and it annoys the hell out of me when watching videos on it and in games that dont support it. For me 16:9 is still the sweet Aspect ratio.
I see OCUK dont sell it but if you google Acer RT280K you will see it for an amazing price. Whats the catch? lol

Is 28" TN panel. That's the catch

Is that 1ms on the spec sheet? If so, it is marketing guff just like their contrast spec reading.

I would be wary of buying a 4k tn panel at that price, chances are its a poor TN panel.

To be fair it's ACER. Not as if its a no name brand. I would expect it to be "decent enough"

Can get a 27" LG 4K IPS Freesync monitor for around £300-£400 now.

There is a huge difference in price between 27" and 32" 4K monitor. Windows scaling has improved a lot, if you can deal with it then 27", it is very nice, much higher PPI meaning sharper better graphics and less need for AA. For me only a handful of programs I use do not scale well, but you can override windows scaling on a per app basis so you can have them run at 100% scaling if needed.

Can anyone give any recommendations for 32inch 4ks, I keep looking but mainly just come across more designer type displays.
