Im on the hunt for a new case and didn't realize there was a difference between 'full' and 'mid' ATX until i went to ebay there and seen the filters.

I need to upgrade as i just got a Tri x 290 {12inches}

My mobo is Gigabyte P61 ATX { http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3904#ov }

1 Hdd & 1 optical.

Im thinking about the Sharkoon VS3 Green, but i fear it wont be compatible.

I have tried to google but haven't came up with much. Well i have , thats the problem, came up with too much infact - wading through too many results talking about micor/mini ATX etc etc

Mid seems to be the most popular but, but all very confusing. Budget of £30 - eek.

Thanks for reading :)

I hope I don't confuse you more but when it comes to cases the sizings can get confusing.

Mini itx islike smallest, thens its micro atx, mid tower ATX and finally full tower ATX.

Mid tower ATX is ideal for ATX boards, such as yours.

The difference between mid tower and full tower (I think) is the amount of expansion slots, meaning full atx towers can accept bigger motherboards like E-ATX and XL-ATX.

As for a case for yourself look at the bitfenix neos, it'll be better than that sharkoon. If you don't like the look of it zalman cases may have some decent ones around that price range

No Doomedspeed, that was perfect. Got it thanks.

Thanks for the bitfenix suggestion. I kinda think its ok, but nah at the same time- which is a no really.

The Gigabyte GZ-G2 has caught my eye and decided to up my budget to that perhaps. £45 incl del.

But i cant fine out for sure if it will accommodate a Tri x. Reading conflicting.
It can and cant. but the GByte site says 290mm.

F$^"! ... Shes a beaut aswell.

Came across a few search results with peoples builds{some admittedly 'in the works builds'. So maybe not enough research} using the Gigabyte case with a tri x.. And also a 7990, which i believe is longer than the Tri x ?!?

This is a nightmare honestly!

Quite like the look of the Aerocool X-Warrior but i dont want blue led. Is it possible/how easy is it to replace fan/led of case. As with the warrior above - further down the line could i replace the 'colour' of it?

As a whole I think this forum is pretty sleek and stylish with its case choices. Not overly mad on these 'gamer' style cases.. We go for quality.. And that would be my only concern with some of your selections, the materials are quite flimsy and its very style over substance.

For £40-£50 I'd bee looking at the Zalman Z9 or Z11. Quite 'gamery', though they do have blue LEDs (though they can be turned off)

Don't be fooled into buying one of these 'Gaming Cases' from the bay, they're always poor quality with cheap fans and just filled with a ridiculous amount of LED's.

For your budget you can have a decent, well made case that does a much better job than it's 'Cheap Gaming Cases'.

Same applies to PSU's!

I know what you mean guys about some being on the cheap looking end.

Im not looking for anything too 'gamery' or ridiculous looking. I just quite like the illuminated front vents i think.

With cases, and lef fans be replaced wok?
Can you change the 'colour' if you wish ?

Is the Corasiar Carbide of decent build quality ?
Looking into some Zalamans also.

Thanks.

What color LED are you looking for? and what is your budget?

You can always buy your own fan and replace it
