Hi,
Thinking about buying a 26 LCD tv,not really sure what size to buy.

The viewing distance is about 3 and a half meters.

Any suggestions?

3 and a half metres... my 37" is about right over a similar distance.

26 would be way too small imo. the 37 i have cost ~£400 and is great. hannspree JT Xv series. well chuffed with it.

To be honest, at 4 metres I find my 42inch TV is slightly too small. 50inch would be more appropriate, especially for 1080 HD formats. Infact with a 1080p source even a 60inch TV is not over the top at 4 metres... So at 3.5 metres you can have a lot more than a 26inch TV.

I have a 26" LCD and it's just right, but the viewing distance is only around 2m. Would have thought you would need something bigger.

This thread has got me thinking, My computer TFT is 24inch, and I sit at arms length from it. 26inch @ 2meters must be tiny, especally as most DVD movies are superwidescreen letterboxed.
