What size of partition would I need for windows 7?

I have a 120 GB SSD. I did not partition it before installing Windows 7 and have a folder called old windows on it. I can't delete it. I read somewhere that if the drive wasn't partitioned windows would create this folder.

Its time to do a clean install and I was wondering if I create a partition and put windows 7 on it will it remove this old programs folder?

Just do a disk cleanup and select to remove old windows installation. It'll remove the windows.old folder/files.

I'vetried this but I don't get an option to remove them...

Right click C: drive
choose disk cleanup
then choose 'clean up system files' at the bottom, allow the UAC
then chose to remove everything listed.

If you're doing a clean install you can choose to format the entire drive beforehand.
