I am trying to put together a new rig but I am not sure of the size of PSU I need to safely run it. In the past I have always gone for the safe side and probably gone over by several 100 watts.
Kit list is as follows:
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,130.50
(includes shipping: £11.70)
Was looking at the 1000W XFX PSU as I have used XFX in the past and they were reliable. But then I though wow that's a lot of wattage. I am currently running a full water loop with 2 x D5 pumps on a 2500K @ 4.4 with 2 x 7950s in crossfire all off an 850W. But the unknown factor for me is how much power does a 980 need ? I assume a lot more than my current set up ??
