Am in the process of building my second watercooled system (cpu + 2 gpu).
As my first system was successful decided to stick with xspc tubing which I believe is 7/16" (this came with the first kit but was not used).
Decided to 'upgrade from bayonet to compression fittings - xspc -G1/4 to 7/16 ID 5/8 OD Compression Fitting (Black chrome)V2.
But I find that once the tube is attached ,the top half of the compression fitting is an absolute 'nightmare' to tighten on to the 3 screw threads - the tube seems too wide for the top (compression) part to pass over and tighten.
I understood it was easier fitting compression - fit, gently tighten and done. - NOTHING like that with mine- absolute .... to tighten (if I can get it to 'grab' the thread at all !!)
I can only assume that I am using the wrong tubing - can someione please link me to the correct diameter clear tubing that will work (without issue!!) with the compression fittings I bought.
n.b. I am looking at simple high flex (or equivalent) tubing - about 2m - am happy to go for better quality.
Or am I going to have to go back to bayonet fittings?
Advise appreciated.
