What size widescreen monitor do I need . . .

To give the same vertical size as my current 21 inch 4:3 CRT?? So basically I just want the same height, but wider

If it helps I've measured the vertical distance of visible screen and it's approx 11.75 inches.

fwiw, dual screening with lcd and crt is not a good mix, the difference in picture is annoying and you will start to become irritated by the crt flicker.

Thanks for the tip, though I had no intention of doing this

I just wanted to make sure when I upgrade that I don't go smaller vertically, just that I keep the same size (or bigger!) and wider.
