Apologies for posting this in here, I kindasorta need an answer sharpish and the 5 people that visit the software forum aren't exactly regulars :p

TL;DR - I need to assign levels of staff, ie. account manager, engineering manager, supervisors, engineers, etc.

Then I need to create responsibilites for each role, ie. contractor management, contractor booking, job completions, etc.

I then need to assign these to each role, and it needs to be flexible so I can drag & drop.

I'm thinking maybe Powerpoint, anyone got any other ideas please?

Cheers!

Is this for storage of that data or just for a picture?

It's just to establish who does what, to create a bit of a framework. We've got a lot of new starters and we've had to remove a few people from site and everyone's a bit lost, so I need to create a framework with every responsibility and which role/level it's assigned to. It'll be a live document so I need to be able to move things around as people go on holiday/sick/whatever. Drag & drop during our toolbox talks would be ideal.

A live excel doc where multiple people can contribute and update? Live powerpoint? Most places have dedicated HR systems for role info. If you just want a visual representation then you could use a canban style board like planner yeah, or just powerpoint.

As above, but Trello is nice and simple for this kind of thing. It's web based and you can invite everyone in to see the board and it'll all just sync in realtime which is great.

Sounds like an org chart right? You're trying to make an org chart or at least something similar to it with some extra info about responsibiltiies and you want it to be easily sharable and regularly updated?

I'd probably go with this suggestion, especially if you're keeping a kind of raw list of people, responsibilities etc.. in addition to a nice (internal) public-facing, easy to understand org chart type thing:
Microsoft Visio

See here:

Powerpoint and word are also appropriate as per the above link too.
