What software can I use to combine many MP3 files into 1 large MP3 file?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As title really, under windows I used to resort to DOS commands, basically I stripped the tags then just joined the files....

Is there a more elegant and easier way under OSX?

What about GarageBand?
I have not got it installed, but I'll install it and try it out/
Audacity should be able to do this quite easily.

Although I am curious as to why you would want to do this?
I'll give audacity a go also, but I don't really want to reencode the file if I can help it!

I bought this CD: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fabriclive-47-Toddla-T/dp/B001VLP610

And it's a mix CD, and I've got an headunit in my car which plays mp3's, but it puts a 2 second gap between each track. This cd is a mix cd, and the 2 second gaps spoils the whole flow of the mix... If I can just have 1 big mp3 then it sounds much better, no gaps!

I think I may resort to Terminal, does anyone know of a utility which strips tags from MP3's?

I'd probably use audacity, maybe rip to WAV and join them that way and then convert to a single MP3?

Quicktime?
Can't you just paste one onto the end of each track using Quicktime player?

I can .. I just tried it.

If not, Audacity will definitely let you.

Thanks all, I re-ripped to WAV in the end, then used Audacity to put all the WAV's together, then just saved as an MP3. Worked a treat. :)

iTunes will also burn discs with no gap.

They still appear as seperate tracks, so it might get overruled by the head unit if you can't set it, but it's worth noting for future reference :)

I <3 Audacity.
