What software do you use to rip audio CDs?

Hey folks,

I'm currently using CDex but it's quite outdated... I was wondering if there was something more modern. I know AIMP is able to rip CDs, but AFAIK it has not the feature to find info about the CD on the internet, like CDex does.

Any advice?

Thanks

Gosh, I always assumed WMP ripped to .wma! Thanks folks.

Those ones using EAC, that version of lame do you use it with? Because, like I said, it always ripped at 128kbps for me...

You can use whatever Lame settings you like with EAC, you just need to feed in the correct command-line parameters: http://wiki.hydrogenaud.io/index.php?title=EAC_and_Lame

dBpoweramp is a lot friendlier if you don't mind stumping up the cash.

I use Foobar as it then plays the FLAC files I get as a result.

I've also used EAC and WMP in the past without problems.
