Got a 40gig SSD, its too small, and i really want to upgrade to the 80gig to give windows some more space.

I dont really want to have to rebuild the system with all the software, which is on another drive.

Can i use some software to clone the system drive i have no, replace the 40 with an 80 and copy the data back, without having to install all the games again on the 1TB drive i have next to it in the PC?

If so, which is good for this? last time i did anything like this was with ghosy, but i had to reinstall all the games/office again as like now, they are on another drive.

Acronis TrueImage or Norton Ghost. You shouldn't have to reinstall anything at all if the software works as intended.

+1 for trueimage

Worked a treat for me when upgrading from a 300GB to my 500GB :)

Took bloody years to do it though LOL - 40GB SSD should clone in about 20 mins?

Has anyone had any luck with using the Windows 7 'create sytem image' option in Windows Backup? I do this regularly but have never tested a restore...
