I have been given a job to copy a holiday DVD to a few other DVD-RWs.

I'm not really sure where to start so thought I'd ask here what software could do this and what was the best?

Thanks.

imgburn is free and does the job. Just make an image from the original disc and then copy it to as many DVD's as you need. Also, with you creating an image, you will always have a back up on your PC :)

Bit of a problem when I tried to copy the image file to my computer.

Not quite sure what this means and what to do.

Thanks.

You may need to copy all files to a folder and then use imgburn to create an image from the files (add each file to the list, not the folder, otherwise it wont work when creating an image)

*Edit* If you click 'mode' at the of the main screen, you can choose build mode there.

Thanks, I'll try that.

I've just selected all the files on the disc and am making a new .iso. Hope this works.

I always used DVD Decrypter to rip DVD files to hard drive, followed by either DVD Shrink (if files were too big for DVD-9) or Nero. Haven't copied a DVD for a while though.

This may be against rules to post, so apologies and remove if necessary but I also used to ensure AnyDVD was running to ensure any copy protection was circumvented.

Thank you. I keep getting errors on DVDShrink about cyclic redundancy checks and errors on FixVTS saying that it cannot open the files.

Could it be because the DVD I am trying to copy is an old holiday DVD that was converted by a family member from a DV tape (or a camcorder tape) in the year 2000?

Thanks.
