You’ll just have to rely on my terrible description I’m afraid.

It was a synthy instrumental as far as I can recall, sort of like Kraftwork or of that era. I recall hearing it at primary school and then later on Radio 2.

It would have big synth chords that powered out over 8ish bars and then this dramatic descending widdly bit.

Zoooommmmmmmmm

Widdlywiddluwdillywdilluwdiluwldkwidld.....

Any ideas? :D

Thanks for the guesses but nobody has it yet. From what I remember it was an instrumental.

Also it had sort of a dungeons and dragons vibe.

It deffo had a Gary Numan / Kraftworky sound!

Maybe it was from a film? Hmm.

Here’s an audio clip!

My incredible skills were interrupted by the disapproving face of my partner, who was also sat on the sofa at the time :D

The first bit is probably completely wrong but the doodly bit, that’s perfection that is.

I do wander whether I’m confusing two tunes in my mind... there is definitely a pop song with a synth solo that sounds something a bit like the bit in Oxygene part 4 (posted by me on page 1) at 3:00ish onwards... where it does a bit doodly doodly doodly descent. A repeating pattern of three notes descending on an alien synth....!

I actually thought it might have been Sleeping Satellites - the bit from 2:50 sounds a little bit like what I’m thinking of... but it sounds more Alien-y like Oxygene.

Arghh!!!
