What sort of wall fixing would I need for a notice board?

I just ordered a big cork board for my room from Ikea, but it doesn't come with any wall fixings. I have no idea what sort would be needed.

well that depends on what type of wall you are fixing it to and how big/heavy the board is

If its a brick/plastered wall, wall plug and screw will do.

If its a stud/plasterboard wall then you can buy plasterboard fixings. Or you could try and find a stud and screw straight into it with a wood screw.

Sorry to be so anal & pedantic, but it's either a Rawlplug, as in it's made by Rawlplug Ltd., or it's a generic wall plug.
