What speakers ?

only get 5.1's if theyre good, honestly cheap 5.1's are not worth it...id rather get 2.1s over 5.1s if my price was like £75 or something...becasue they 2.1s would offer a lot better sound quality

Cool  . If you happen to use a 17" TFT, would you mind taking a photo of the speakers set up next to it when you get them? I can't tell exactly how big the satellites are, but think they are pretty tiny

Awesome for the money - I'm big into Hi-Fi.

Without doubt (IMHO) the best 2.1 or 2.0 speakers are either the Acoustic Energy (2.1 which are expandable to 5.1) or The Creative Gigaworks:

Available here: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/2_0_Speakers.html

Basically, they are both "Audiophile" Quality sets.

Standard 3.5mm stereo jack supplied - should do no problem.

If its for a TV I'd recommend the Acoustic Energy as they'll have a bit more clout for films etc!

Can the Aego-M speakers be easily fitted to mini speaker stands? They angle upwards but I would like to have them on stalk-like stands at the end of my bed, with the sub on the floor of course. If they can any recommendations?

Also, as they are not remote controlled does anyone know if they hiss at high volume with no sound output? I will be using a Squeezebox3 as source and that does have a remote. My plan is to leave the speakers powered up at high volume and use the Squeezebox remote to control volume. Do they auto power down or will this be a big waste of electricity?

So many questions! :)
