A htpc which will play falloutNV and Skyrim @ 1080p with all the eye candy. Quietness and energy efficient as possible. Would a apu do it @ >30ps and thats constant not dipping any lower

Not really. Not with all the graphical settings way up. You'd have to run at low / medium presets.

So, playing demanding games, therefore not really a HTPC, but a small quiet gaming rig, with low idle noise and power consumption.

emm the 5770 might be able to handle the settings....i doubt it you'd be best going for a 2 gig card minimum
