What spec was your very first PC system ??

My first computer (2003)

Sony CD-R with changable fronts (I had black and silver)
Cant remember CPU, but was VERY low spec
512mb DDR RAM
60GB HDD
No graphics card :(
Windows XP.

Something like £1k


My first computer I bought (2006)

E-machines crap
Pentium 4 3ghz
1GB DDR2 RAM
160GB HDD
No graphics card again :(
One of the very first computers with Vista :P

About £300


First computer I built

£350 and still going up with upgrades.
 
Something with a AMD XP1300 thunderbird chip and I bought a Hercules Geforce2 GTS 32mb card as its first upgrade.
 
i remember using good old windows 3.1.1 good times. didn't have a clue what i was doing lol it was a pc my dad built when i was still playing with lego.

first pc i built myself was a sempron 3100+ with a 6600GT. wasn't a bad spec at the time (could play far cry 1 on high so i was happy). before that i had an even crapper computer which i used to play games like jetpack, worms 1 and rise of the triads on because we couldnt afford anything decent

thinking back makes you appreciate how far things have moved on doesnt it lol
 
Early 90s, the first ever Pentium running at 75MHz, I choose this 'upgrade' over the DX 100 and it was about £100 more for the newer motherboard and Pentium chip (Future Proofing). 800Mb hard drive, 4 or 8Mb RAM not sure which, probably a 1Mb graphics, later got a Matrox Mystique 2Mb and a separate 3d card at some point. Also had a turbo button on my case, never seemed to do anything though :D With a 14'' monitor, basic case and PSU it was close to £1,000! But then we installed Doom, Wing Commander - Privateer, SimCity, et al and all was good.
