Well i download at 240kbps per second but realy wanting a faster speed just wondering if i applied for a bt package would i get higher is that the most i would get.

You're not going to get any more than you've already got, whatever you do (barring getting cable of course).

Sorry, whe someone asks about what speed they're going to get I assume they want to know how fast they'll download stuff.

That's cool, I was under the impression that ADSL MAX meant it wasn't LLU though. Are they not two seperate systems?

Yup. But I didn't say they were all one?

The OP asked what the max they were going to get was. That's 2.5Mbps.

I think we're talking at cross-purposes. I mean he said he was on MAX and wanted to know how fast he was going to get data down the pipe at that sync, which is 2mb. Maybe I mis-understood the question.

You are being pedantic for some reason

The OP obviously wanted to know the actual data rate he would be getting - in this case 2Mb - as anything else is meaningless.
