What Tablets can I install Linux onto?

I am told that there are some tablets that I can install Linux onto?

I will for the moment assume that these are the Windows tablets and are the y the Linx ones? Thats what I have been told anyway.

How can it be done? and when I have had my fun, can I put the Windows back on?

I am just thinking of having a giggle thats all.

What is the most powerful Windows tablet, and can it do this?

Its not really down to the native OS - Android is after all based off Linux - more as to what access you have to the boot loader, etc. so as to put an alternative OS on there.
