Hey,
I just ran ATI Overdrive and it overclocked my card to 688/900 i dont think the memory changed. I just want to ask what is a safe temp to run my card @ when its @ full load. Im also thinking of running the Folding @ home Graphics client which will run on my pc all the time when not gaming. So whats a safe overclock and tempreature ?

Those chips can handle 90ºC and even more, but I wouldn't advise it. Personally, I get mad if mine goes over 65ºC but I have a VF900 on it, so I would say that 75-80ºC is fine for stock cooling.

Thanks. Hopefully i will see a fps boost, i get really bad FPS seeing as this is a DX9 flagship card :(.

1280x1024 Battlefield 2142 runs @ 30 - 40 fps with 4aa and everthing on high :(. Is it safe to run 690core and 950mem 24/7 even if its not under load ? my current idle temp is 47.

My system hangs on the second test of 3d mark 06 when i OC my gfx card :(. Will have a proper go at overclocking CPU and GFX card this evening. :D.

Something wrong there for sure if you're only getting that FPS in BF2142 at 1280. I play it at 1440x900 which is similar and get much higher framerates on my X1900XT.

It's a silly question, but did you increase the vcore to ~1.4v while OCing?

It will struggle like mad and crash a lot if it's running on 2D stock volts.

ATI Tray Tools is pretty damn good for overclocking and has Overdrive support for low-level overclocking, and it also totally eliminates the need for CCC (unless you use Crossfire.)

I would really recommend it. :)

Naw... Uninstall CCC and drivers, run Drivercleaner if you feel it's a good idea, then reinstall the CCC package but uncheck CCC during setup (so that only display driver and WDM driver are installed.)

Then install ATI Tray Tools (which can be found on Google/Radeon.ru/Guru3d) and it should be good.
