Ok, so I don't want to spend too much on a TFT as I don't have the money, would love one of the Dells as they seem to be brilliant but they cost a lot.

I'm after something with a decent response time as I like to play games (BF2 mostly), I also would like a decent image as I like to watch films and edit images and video. I know I would prefer it to not have speakers in it, but most do so that isn't much of a worry really, I just wont plug them in :). I also would like it to be black as I am aiming to build a completley black computer system, again though as there aren't that many in full black then this is something that doesn't matter much.
The one thing I am unsure about is 19" or 19" widescreen. I've been looking at the HannisG 19" widescreen and it seems a decent screen (ignoring speakers and colour :p) as it seems to fit the response time well, and fits under £140 which is then nicely under my budget.

If I happen to be pointed in the direction of a very good monitor that is larger than 19" and is well priced (under about £170-£180tops) then that'd be nice too, I'm just used to 19" and don't want anything smaller.

I'm open to all suggestions though as TFTs is something I know very little about, other than I'd like one as my 19" CRT takes up too much space and is on it's way to CRT heven :p.

The Samsung 920N, Acer AL1916W and Hanns-G HW191D are all very popular and fit the budget roughly. All offer good responsiveness for gaming and there's plenty of info about each in the sticky (except the Hanns-G, but see the massive thread about it :))

Cheers Baddass...I quite like the idea of having a widescreen, and the DVI seems to be the way forwards.

It's looking like the Hanns-G is going to be the one I get, and I'm going to have to fiddle with BF2 to get it to run in WS...oh well can't have everything I suppose. :)
