What TFT?

Currently have a 17" Dell TFT and now i have a projector which movies look fantastic on.

I want a bigger monitor.

The monitor will be used of course for everyday use as well as a few tinkers in graphical programs such as photoshop etc...

It will also be used a lot for gaming as well.

Now i was looking at the new Dell 2407 coming out.

I won't use the inputs as the only input i use is the s-video on my video in on my graphics card for my xbox (not 360)

I just basically want a big 20"+ widescreen monitor which is superfast for gaming.

It will not be used for movies at all.

Should i still go for the 2407 or go for something cheaper?

well the 2407WFP info is still a bit sketchy as you know. The 20" market is really beginning to take off, and the new NEC LCD20WGX2 looks very impressive from early reports and reviews. That might well be a good model to look at. There are a fair few new screens on their way soon but whether the new 24" models will really offer any improvement in responsiveness in real use remains to be seen. Let's hope so though
