Half an hour ago i was surfing the net minding my own business + having a beer and suddenly i get a warning from avast telling me it is unable to update, i thought nothing of it and decided to try it manually but no luck.
I start to get a bit suspicious so i checked my firewall was OK, anti malware + spyware was up to date and disconnected from the internet.
I then ran a full system scan and about 2 seconds from starting it i get about 3 warnings from avast telling me that Trojan+malware had been blocked.
I then ran scans on my anti malware and spyware.
My avast scan found 213 viruses including Trojans, my malware and spy ware also found few dozen infected files.
I ran a boot scan to find 4000 more infected files!
I'm not a total noob and i like to check/update and scan everyday/other day for viruses ect so i am a little confused as to how this could have happened, i mean i haven't been on any dodgey sites or downloaded anything at all recently so i'm rattling my brain trying to figure out where i have gone wrong.
