Can anyone tell me or link to a website that shows all the differences between HTC Sense & Samsung TouchWiz ??

As i have only ever owned and used HTC Android phones (Dersire & a Sensation) and am wondering what i be loosing or gaining software wise by changing to a SGS3

IMO the SGS3 is closest to stock Android but there are still quite a lot of changes. It's really best if you try both.

You are better of just watching gsmarenas videos and looking at their reviews for the X/S and GS 3 to see the differences and you will have to play with both yourself to see which one you prefer.

Basically (IMO), sense is a lot nicer looking and has a much better unified feeling for widgets and sense apps etc. it has a lot of functionality, the biggest advantage of sense over touchwiz is in the UI/colour scheme, camera area and gallery, the camera has a much nicer UI, very minimal but at the same time very functional and the gallery is feature full in regards to editing features, you can also see my review of the One S (below in sig) where I have taken screenshots of the most important areas for sense and talked about it (will be the same for the X as well). The colour scheme is much nicer as well (although I would prefer a black layout for the menus etc. rather than white)

I hated every sense version before, but love this new one, originally I would have replaced every app with 3rd party ones, however, I haven't :p Mostly half sense and half 3rd party apps.

Touchwiz is considered to be lighter and better optimized* It has a lot of features as well and in the new touchwiz a **** load of gesture based stuff, however, you can pretty much get all these unique features of touchwiz (apart from gesture features) i.e. smart stay, touchwiz launcher with widgets, S-voice on any other mobile now (without having to root) and I am sure with time will see the rest soon.....IMO the colour scheme is awful, too "kiddish" and "cartoonish" looking and still seems to be disorganised, but it is smoother overall, I think this is just down to the animations used though.

* I thought touchwiz would have been lighter and better optimized as well, however, after seeing the GS 3 S4 dual core krait version compared to the XL/S, now I don't think it is (I know the S hasn't got the same res. as the GS 3 but the XL does and it still beats the GS 3):

I know :p

In 5 tests out of 7 (compared to the X S4 version and 4 tests compared to the S) but the main reason it beats them in 3 of those tests is due to the GPU, it is FAR FAR better than the adreno 225 GPU.

The CPU scores better in quadrant due to it having 2 additional cores.

However, the point was to show that when both phones have the same hardware for GPU and CPU, (although the GS 3 USA version has 2GB RAM) the HTC sense devices appear to be better optimized for performance and battery life (despite the XL having a smaller battery than the GS 3), although I don't base too much on "expert" reviews for the battery life :p

Granted Samsung could close the gap and possibly even surpass the S/XL with some updates, won't know for sure though until/if that happens.

As you said though, in real world usage, there isn't much difference these days on all the top end phones and once JB is on them, there will be virtually no difference at all then, well there shouldn't be anyway :p

I don't find there is any difference between the 2, I've always covered them up with a third party launcher. :p

There is more to it than just the homescreens, the app drawer and the colour cheme, touchwiz and sense run throughout the system i.e. camera, gallery, dialer, calendar etc. the sub menu stuff etc. and then have their own tweaks i.e. for touchwiz, it has all the gesture based stuff, which you won't get on sense or any other phone (although it could be replicated in custom ROMs at some point), the power control notification toggles in the notification bar amongst other things.
