Hi guys, can anyone let me know what the different bewteen Network Patch cables and Network Crossover patch cables? i need to get some cable to connect my nephew X-Box 360 to his router, but got a bit confuse to which type of network cable i needed...Thank in advance guys...

Crossovers are usaully used for connecting devices directly together without a router or switch (ie PC to PC)
just a standard patch is what you need, although most hardware now adays is auto sensing so doesnt make a huge difference.
 
you need a patch cable.

crossover cables are typically used to connect two pieces of hardware together directly without using a switch inbetween.

essentially in a crossover you cross the transmit and receve pairs at one end of the cable so transmit at one end goes to receive at t'other - hence the name.
