Hey everyone...

I've bought a Syncmaster Samsung T260HD TV/monitor from OCUK.. But I have a strange problem I don;t understand..

When Using My PS3 or Xbox360 through HDMI it's fine..
And when I'm surfing the net on my PC using the DVI connection..

BUT.. When I go to play something like football manager 2009 or another game, when the screen changes in the game the "NO INPUT SIGNAL" comes up on my monitor. then goes back again...
But sometimes it even puts my monitor into standby mode as If i've turned the PC off, yet I can still hear the sounds of the game from the speakers...

Anybody shed some light on this..
I've turned off screensaver and all power saving options in windows including powering off monitor when computer shuts down..

One more thing I forgot.. it did it today when I had premier manager 09 running in a window on the desktop!....

Can anyone help!..

I have this problem sometimes with my monitor
Like with the FEAR 2 demo at the momant, damn thing just doesnt like me

I presume its more software related than anything else.

Some times ive needed to go on the Internet and find some fix that other people encountered, Other times it fixes it self.
A fresh reinstall of it can help, same with updating your drivers.

Hi thankyou for replying...

It seems more random the problem at the moment.. But it does seem to revolve around more then 1 operation working at the same time causing it.. It's frustrating the best of times...

I've re-installed all software and put updated drivers on most stuff. But still the problem persists...Grrr...

My 245b keeps randomly dropping the signal/going blank.

Seems if I wiggle the DVI cable it comes back on, BUT swapping the cable to a known working one still does the same thing, as does changing video card.

This leads me to believe that the monitor has issues :(

i used to have this with an early model of T240.

but the recent OCuk T240 stock (ones for £241) seems to have a newer firmware than the earlier model i've had. the new T240 im currently using is free of this problem.

on the earlier model, when changing resolution, it will simply display a blank screen when resolutions have been changed (used to have 22inch before this).

on the new T240 i have been using for last 2 days, there are 2 obvious changes to the firmware: Samsung logo is now displayed when turning on manually, built-in menu now have button functions displayed on the side. and after going around all my games to change resolution to 24inch, i can safely say this new firmware doesn't have that blank-screen bug.

I think my T260HD definitly has issues now.. last night I was watching a TV episode using VLC and Media player.. The monitor went into standby 5 bloody times...

I'm really dissapointed.. I updated the drivers from Samsung. But there's nothing else I can do is there !?.. I don;t get the samsung logo So maybe its just a T240 model that uses that feature..

:(

when did you buy the monitor?? i only got this newer T240 model when OCuk received stock on this Thursday.

i'd imagine the only thing you can do is to contact Samsung for repair or instructions on how to update the firmware
