What the hell is biting me?!

Hey all,

These last two weeks I've had a few mornings where I've woken up and had a small red bump, always on my bicep area (because they're so swole, amirite?). It starts off painless, however by the end of day one it has become quite sore to the touch and can be itchy, also it has a slightly less red area around it. The only way to describe it is it looks like I have a nipple on my arm, about the same size.

By day two, it has darkened in colour and it quite a bit larger. It's still sore at this point.

Then it stays like this until eventually it goes down and the skin on and around it breaks and peels. It then hangs around for a week or so slowly going down and slowly decreasing in size.

It's not just your typical mosquito bite as I've had those before. Normally I'd not be too concerned, but because we have a 3 week old baby in the house now, I'm a bit worried he might get bitten as it is definitely happening in the house and always at night time.

Any help would be much appreciated

Pics to better show what I mean, day one then today

I did think it might be bed bugs, but having a quick Google shows that bed bugs are much smaller, although I guess everyone reacts differently

This is them there micro xenomorphs, I know cause my Dad kills them for a living? lol

My guess is bed bugs or possibly a reaction to flea bites if you have any pets

Hoping it's not bed bugs, can you get rid of those? Or are they there to stay once they've gotten in the mattress etc? I might be thinking of dust mites

Clearly a false widow. Probably wel jel of your guns.

On a side note, do you have a permit for those?

:D

No animals so definitely sounds like bed bugs. Cheers for the replies, will look at how to get rid of them!

Bed bugs normally bite in rows of three........breakfast lunch and dinner.

Also their bites don't tend to get that big. They also don't just appear, they are introduced via luggage, blankets from elsewhere, etc. Anything like that?

I vote for spider or some other kind of bug.

yeah looks like a spider bite going by google images (dont look if youre squeemish, some extreme cases in there).
