basically, everytime i boot up my pc, it gets to the windowsx xp loading screen, however before booting into windows it comes up with a blue screen saying bad checksum image error blah blah blah.

Now it usually states a specific file thats corrupted, so I use windows recovery console and replace this corrupted file. However the next time i boot up it displays a differnet file, i do the same to the different file yet it keeps coming up with corrupted files. I thought that it could be my ram however Im running a memory test atm. Its done 5 passes of the extensive memory test and hasnt found any errors.

Ive already run a chkdsk.

I dont know what to do

any help?

thannks

What is your ram volts in the bios?

I have looked on ocuk site and most of them are 2.0v.

just checked, my motherboards maximum voltage setting for the mem is 2.1V, i set the ram at this but it still didnt work. Its back on the auto option as Im afraid that ill overvolt and fry my ram

Check your ram, unfortunately micron chips has a nasty habit of just dying for no reason.

More than likely they have just decided that 1.8v is to low a voltage and there now corrupting your OS. Almost every board incorrectly detects the default vdimm.
