What the hell is this happening?

Hey guys,

Now, for only about the 3-4 time this has happened..tonight I was watching IT Chapter 2, and after about an hour into the film, the screen went black, then started cycling colours..

blue, to green, to red, to black, rinse and repeat.

So I then turn off screen at remote, then back on and back to normal?

What is going on here? any help appreciated!

it's being streamed directly on a smart tv ? ie no hdmi cable, or external media player.

if that's the case then sounds like a tv hardware problem (eg tcon/power supply board) what's the tv.

No it’s direct hdmi from my SKY box.

it’s a 65” hisense tv.

so there are multiple points of possible failure ie sky box / hdmi lead / hisense tv.
wait and see if a pattern develops ... if you download IT2 on catchup, does that show the same problem ?

will keep an eye on it. It’s very very rare but something that shouldn’t be happening surely?

I have the extension of warranty from AO so it’s not end of the world if I need a new tv
