Just put it back out side but my google skills have failed to identify what this is it's obviously a member of the cricket\grasshopper family but I don't know which But it is a cool green and about an inch long

I was planning to post the exact same thing. We had two jump out of our cabbages (home grown) and one decided to sit in the corner of the kitchen so I couldn't get a decent enough photo. The other didn't have such a lucky escape from my mums slipper!

Saw a couple of these in eccleshall yesterday, thought it was a locust at first by the way it was jumping. Grasshopper makes more sense.
