So I just go into Fahmon to see how things are going and both of my cores say 2%
Hmmm.... that's weird, I could have sworn they both had about 5 hours to go, I'll just check the log I think to myself.

[16:36:56] - Checksums don't match (work/wudata_01.xtc)
[16:36:57] - Starting from initial work packet

BRILLIANT !!!
2 WU's on about 92% suddenly decide to start from the beginning.
Its **** like this that makes me want to throw the whole thing in :(
I don't have a massive output, I can't afford to lose WUs, this really upsets me !!!
 
Deffinately the same WUs started from scratch :(

I'll check Stanford's webiste later to see if my total has gone up, but I'm 99.9% sure it won't have.
 
could it of a pc crash and lost the data or did it not write them to memory or did the wus get corrupted on your pc .... complete speculation here

Of the few examples I've found on the main folding forums this has usually followed a system crash which would indicate a slight instability in the machine.
If both WUs restarted at the same time then It would certainly rule out dodgy WUs.

Some machine specs and full logs (posted in code tags preferably) might give us something more to work on :)
 
are you using the graphic instance?
If so how have you got the 'checkpoint' settings setup?
could be the reason you've lost some work?!

I'm not really looking for a solution (unless it happens again) just wanted to vent my spleen ;)

And remember kids, the next weekly news, I should have been another 500points and 2 WUs up :D
