This is really getting on my nerves now, my setup is as follows:

HP 7700 thin client PC/Xbox 360 > Analogue switchbox > Creative Sound Blaster Live external sound card > Creative I-Trigue speakers.

The problem lies with playing MP3's, there volume sometime increases and decreases randomley on songs, its extremely irritating! I've tried new sound cards, on board sound and have just bought this external sound card and still the problem remains. This would put the blame on the 3 month old speakers, but I NEVER have this issue with Audio on my Xbox 360. I've tried a new switchbox but get the same problem.

Has anyone experienced such problems?

Do you mean Windows Media Player? No I haven't, but I did just install Winamp and the same problem occurs there.

I am streaming music off my PC ot my 360 and I'm not experiencing any quality issues so the speakers and external sound card must be fine. It does boil down to the PC side of things...What should I be looking for?
