What the **** is going on with SETI

Just a random rant, but it seems that SETI is down more often that it is up at the moment.

I had my computer off for a week as was moving locations, with a brief stop off in the middle, so kknew my avarage work load would go down.

Since then I have been crunching 24/7, well, when it lets me, and my average has steadily plumeted.

I have gone back to a generic client as want to do the new units they are pushing out, but everythime i connect, i get bumpkis, nada, zilch, zero work units and also fail in the uploads.

Anyone else having the same snags?

Or am i special

Yes Seti seem to be having problems regularly with either their servers or Comms - cant get any work from them and I have WU's queued up which I can't send back.

Lots of complaints on their forums.

Going to switch over to Rosetta for a while until they get their problems fixed.

That actually does make a difference too :P
 
Thats what boinc is about, its designed so you have multiple projects, so if ones down you can keep on trucking. No biggie ffs. Just set your work buffer to 3 or 4 days and you can cover any weekend outage.
 
Server status page says it's up & running but still can't upload WU's.
Something s amiss @ Borkeley. I also keep getting loads of 17-18 pointers which give low ppd compared to other WU's.
 
managed to connect, but upload speeds are at 0.08kbps, if they get anywhere, hope things are sorted quick as i've had no WU's since fri nightish

I'm using BOINC 5.10.45 if your using the latest it might be different.
Open BOINC in advanced view, highlight a seti wu on the left is a list of web site, one tab should say preferences, click & you should be taken to yr a/c page. Indre preferences at the top of list is computing preferences, click & the page will list setting. @ bottom of page click edit & you will be able to make changes. Don't forget to click apply.
 
Im the same, pretty much out of WU now and having to switch to rosetta for a while as I cant download any WU - haven't been able to since thurs so every machine is out now...
