Ok guys what the most important things to you when your choosing a new GPU card to buy ??

1) brand Name
2) Performance
3) Noise levels
4) warranty
5) Fitted cooler Performance
6) Looks
7) Power consumption
8) Hdmi output
9) You Got have the fastest GPU available
10) You Got have the slowest GPU available
11) Value for money
12) Price
13) Being the lastest model released
14) What free games or software comes with it
15) How much memory it has
16) waterblock fitted as standard

17) etc etc

I want my rig to be near enough silent, but be able to run the latest games on max. I'm not interested in overclocking because it just stresses the cooler and makes the rig loud and hot. Price is a factor but I'll spend extra for the above, and usually have to.

5870 Vapor-X, 570 Phantom, etc.
 
1) quiet - absolutely will not tolerate a noisy card
2) performance - must play the game(s) I like at the res I want
3) power draw - I have more confidence in parts that draw less power to do more :)
4) cost - never pay more than £150 cos I'm a cheapass
 
Performance vs price. I typically never go for the complete best, but usually the one down. This time around I went for a GTX 480 when the 580 was just released. The 480 prices went down and got a good deal from OCUK.
 
Has to be a good step up in performance over my previous card, that's why I generally skip 1,2 or even 3 generations before upgrading again.

Not bothered about cooling solution as I always remove it for replacement with a waterblock.

Not too bothered about brand name either, aslong as it's from a reputable company.

Generally go for the top performing card of the series i'm upgrading too, as it negates the need to upgrade every generation.

Not bothered about bundled software or games.

Warranty i'll look into and my buying decision will be quite heavily influenced by it.

I will consider power consumption but not overly concerned with this, high power consumption and performance pc parts go hand in hand! As one poster once posted 'this Overclockers, not freaking Greenpeace!':D

+1 but i'd replace with

4) bang for buck - must have the best performance for the money
