I almost **** myself when Asus Probe II popped up telling me the Motherboard temperature was 132 degrees C. I didn't think to fire up HWMonitor for a 2nd opinion I just shut it down and had a feel around. Finding the board only warm I started up again and the system did two starts so not sure what that was about.

I checked the bios and all seemed normal. Later I had another popup saying 3.3v was over 4v - which HWMonitor disagreed with.

For the last few hours it's been fine again, not been pushing it, just tinkering in OSX and stuff on the Internet. On the whole the system's been very stable so maybe a glitch in the Asus monitoring tool?

must be a bug somewhere. worth to upgrade the bios and probe software. it also happened to me on some msi and giga boards, but after upgrades everything was fine.
good luck!

Ignore all software readings for voltages. They are unreliable, the only good way is with a multimeter. As for the temps, 132 degrees is either a software fault (very likely) or a dodgy thermocouple / thermistor in the board. Either way, I wouldn't pay much attention to it.

Software error :) My Temp3 shows as -128*c ;)

Last night it was -61, this morning 115 so i'll just ignore it then :)

I've tried updating the bios from the Asus update tool but it can't find any bios files on the web so I'll get one and sort it manually.

Will it wipe my profiles etc?
