What time do you turn up for work?

In at 7:40am start at 8am mainly because of the way trains work for me I could get a 5 minute earlier train and be there 7:20 but I get the slow train don't want to get to work at that time :)

I work 8-4 but my boss is very good. If I needed to work different hours for any reason she wouldn't mind. I just like those hours. Avoids rush hour and gets me home before 5.

Am usually late but get to use the travel time is work time clause although I regularly work through lunch breaks 10mins min and sometimes the whole hour. I then leave early too by an hour and 15mins.

I feel no guilt but equally am fair.

Boss told me their husband does nothing extra for his company and turns up bang on time and leaves on time regardless of if its to be done that day or urgent. He turned sour with them apparently after being late one day due to whatever.

He now no longer works any of his lunch despite doing so for 0
20+yrs. Good on him, imagine how much he would be paid for all that free work

Any time before 10.

We have to do 37 hours a week. Mon-Thurs you have to be in from 10-3 and Friday you have to be in 10-1.
All the other hours you can fit around those however you want.

I often come in for 7 and leave at 3.

Also means if we do enough hours we can leave at 1 on a Friday which is nice.

Work starts at 9 and I live 15mins walk away.
Usually leave around 8:45-47 and get to work at 8:58-8:59.
My first couple of weeks I always arrived at 8:45 :D

My new boss had the tendency to always encourage working after I am meant to leave even when it is not needed or not the best solution to a problem.

I don't see any reason to work afterwards. Lawyers charge for photocopies and printing so why do they deserve a minute extra?

Please feel free to tell us about all the deaths, health problems, and social issues attributed to caffeine consumption? ;)

Edit: It's not the addiction itself that's the issue, so much as the negative effects caused by it.

Totally agree, but then why do vapers still get stick for "being addicted to nicotine" then given in isolation and in small doses it isn't harmful.

Anyway, think I posted that reply in the wrong thread as it clearly has nowt to do with the OP, LOL

7:45-8:00 for an 8:30 start. I hate being late so give myself some leeway in case the traffic is bad. Also the roads are quieter if I leave earlier. I roll out of bed at 7:00 and get straight into my car, then shower, shave and grab a coffee once I'm at work.

I leave at 7 and clock in between 0715-0720 for a 0730 start. If I leave home a few minutes late I hit so much traffic, and it's not that the roads are really busy it's because a minibus travels that stretch of dual carriageway and he drives 50mph and backs up the road.

My supervisor lives about 3 minutes away from work by car, but because he's so close he cycles instead and is constantly late.
